Oracle, SAP, PropleSoft, J.D.Edwards, Lawson, Microsoft.
Oracle and SAP are the largest players in the ERP market. Oracle software is known as Oracle E-Business Suite (formerly called as Oracle Applications). SAP software is my SAP ERP, earlier called SAP R3. PeopleSoft is also leading ERP software, but Oracle Corporation acquired PeopleSoft, J.D.Edwards ERP software already acquired by People soft, before Oracle purchased PeopleSoft. Thus, all these three ERP softwares (Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft and J.D.Edwards) are being maintained by Oracle. Lawson is also a big player in ERP market. Microsoft Dynamics (formerly known as Microsoft Business Solutions) is an ERP solution suitable for small and medium sized enterprises.
